David Coursey Consulting
Thank you for visiting my web site. I have some exciting projects going on--some of which I can even tell you about.
My latest news I that I have begun blogging for PC World, where many years ago I used to write a column.
I generally write one or two 500-word posts each day, always with some sort of a small business angle to them. I am having a lot of fun, but the current system at PCW makes it hard to find the bylines on their posts until you’ve opened them. So, if you want to find me more easily, you can use (and bookmark)
this link, which searches for my posts. You can also find me on other IDG sites, including Computerworld and Network World.
My primary occupation today is commercial freelance writing, mostly working for the marketing departments of technology companies. I am also doing some consulting with companies trying to bring new technologies and products to market.
Freelance WritingFor more than a decade, David Coursey Consulting has been working with publications, web sites, and technology companies. Recently, we have expanded our editorial services to include non-technology businesses and not-for-profits as well.
We have also worked with product and interface design teams, editorial development groups, and provided lots of “real world” feedback to companies needing it. Previous clients have included Microsoft, Intel, Verdiem, BranchAve, HP, Citrix, and others.
Radio Program
More than a decade ago, I hosted a weekly call-in radio program every Saturday on
KSCO (1080AM) in Santa Cruz. The station is owned by Michael Zwerling, who is a good friend of Doug Michels, who knew I used to do radio back in Texas, etc. The program stopped when I became too busy to devote time to it--the program was also very frustrating to do for a variety of reasons. And I never thought it was very good.
Fast-forward to 2009 and I am back on KSCO. Currently, I am the station’s token liberal (though I consider myself a moderate). Right now, I am doing the 2-4pm slot weekdays. I am enjoying it this time and have come to realize how much I miss doing radio on a regular basis. I am not sure what will become of this, but it’s fun to do.
